Welcome

Welcome to NHS West Yorkshire Mental Health Trusts Online Job Fair. We are hosting four inclusive online NHS job fairs during 2023. Please use this page to register for our online job fairs. You can attend as many as you like.

What can you expect from the online job fair?

Our aim for online job fairs is to support people from all backgrounds, into roles with our three Mental Health Trusts. These Trusts are:

  • Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust
  • Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
  • South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust

At the event, you can…

Use the online chat to speak to people from the Trusts to find out about:

  • Current job vacancies - such as support work, cleaning, administration and nursing, and other roles such as HR and Communications
  • What it’s like to work for the Trusts.
  • Support available from the Trusts for their staff, especially those from under-represented groups or with lived/personal experience of mental ill-health.

Opt-in to apply for a Healthcare Support Worker role

Attendees can opt-in to go through the fast-tracked NHS application process, which could lead to a virtual interview at the event. This makes the wait time until being offered a job much quicker, as much of the paperwork can be completed after the job offer has been given. See the virtual interview information by clicking the link at the top of this page.

Attend live webinars

Attendees will also have the option to attend live webinars where employees from the Mental Health Trusts will talk about what it’s like to work in different roles within the Trusts.

Find out about the employment support on offer from the Recruitment and Inclusion Team at Touchstone with applying for jobs in the Trusts, including:

  • 1:1 support for job searching, applications, interview prep, and in-role support
  • • Employment Support Workshops

Why are we holding job fairs online?

We have decided to hold job fairs online to reach as many people as possible so, no matter where you live, you can have access to this brilliant opportunity to learn about working for the Trusts. We know that there are barriers that can stop people from coming to in-person events, such as child-care, other caring responsibilities, disabilities, and travel costs. This online event reduces these potential barriers.

We are also holding in-person events

We also recognise that not everyone has easy access to technology. This means people face barriers to using digital tools and the internet, such as increasing financial pressures, limited digital skills, and websites that are inaccessible to disabled people. Because of this, we are also holding in-person recruitment events at various locations across West Yorkshire. See the ‘In-person Events’ section for more information.

How can you get support to access this event?

If you have limited or no access to the internet for any reason please contact:

Ruth by emailing RecruitmentAndInclusionTeam@touchstonesupport.org.uk to find out about how we can support you.
